Founded by Jaise Shah, alongside Ayush Jain and Asad Ali (all rising juniors at Moravian Academy), The Prosperity Project is working to equip Gen Z with the financial knowledge many students never receive in the classroom.
Driven by their motto, "Carving the Path to Prosperity," the team noticed a growing problem. While social media constantly shapes how teens consume information, they rarely prepare them for real-world financial decisions. Their mission is to provide Gen Z students with engaging, practical financial literacy education before they enter adulthood.
What began as an idea has quickly grown into a movement.
Through their partnerships and collaborations with schools, libraries, and financial professionals, The Prosperity Project has already impacted over 750 students. Their curriculum is currently distributed in four schools, and the team has hosted five in-person financial literacy seminars alongside two online webinars featuring professionals from the finance industry.
Their Instagram community has grown to more than 450 followers, generating over 100,000 views while making financial education more accessible to young audiences online.
The initiative has also earned recognition through DECA. The team is a two-time International Career Development Conference (ICDC) qualifier, Pennsylvania State Champion in Personal Financial Literacy, 3rd place at the state level, and achieved an 89th percentile international written entry. Their competition project included an in-depth 20-page written report and a 15-minute presentation centered on the idea of expanding financial literacy education.
The Prosperity Project's impact has worked alongside many organizations and professionals, including Virtus Lead, Neel Shah (Omni Wealth), Valley Wealth Alliance (upcoming), Paxtolus, and Articulate.
For Jaise and his fellow founders, financial literacy isn't only about understanding money, but about creating opportunities for future generations. By helping students develop financial skills early on, they're empowering the next generation to make informed decisions and build a stronger future.
